Veteran actress Reema Lagu breathed her last at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, ANI has confirmed. She was 59.

The actress, also referred to as Bollywood’s favourite onscreen mother, garnered huge popularity for the versatility that she showed during her career. From Salman Khan to Govinda, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, Lagoo went on to become everyone’s onscreen mother.
Born as Gurinder Bhadbhade in 1958, Lagoo’s acting potential were first noticed while she was studying at the Huzurpaga HHCP High School in Pune.
Later, she was roped in popular film such as Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) as Salman Khan’s mother and then in Saajan (1991), a blockbuster at the box office.
She has been featured in some of the biggest hits in the industry which include Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!(1994), Yeh Dillagi (1994), Dilwale (1994), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), and Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003).
